I originally wrote this track whilst living in Arnhem Land NT in an indigenous community I was teaching music in at the time. I recorded the first demo in a tin shed in the bush. When I moved back to the coast end of 2020 I started self producing the final track here on the Sunshine Coast QLD. The song is about how our minds and society put limits on what you think you're capable of doing and achieving.

Maybe I just don't spend enough time looking up.

I'm seated on floors jamming fingers in doors, it's nothing society's told you before,
its an Aussie thing that comes up when you try to ask for more,
When you're climbing up all alone tall poppy syndrome's trying hard to make itself known.
